Tax Exemption under Section 11 (5) (ix) of Income Tax Act, 1961, for Trust

The interest on deposit will cease from the date of maturity. The depositor can choose option of ‘Auto Renewal of deposit in the application form in which case the deposit will be automatically renewed on the Date of maturity for the same tenure / scheme (or nearest tenure / scheme - in case the original tenure /Scheme is discontinued subsequently) as that of the matured deposit at the interest rate prevailing on the date of maturity.

In case Auto Renewal option is not selected, and there are no subsequent instructions for renewal of deposit either, the matured proceeds will be credited directly into depositors account on the date of maturity. Provided that in the case of maturity for the second tenure (post first auto renewal), the amount will be automatically remitted to the designated bank account at maturity, in absence of any specific instruction from the depositor otherwise. In case one intends to modify renewal/repayment instructions (different from the one provided at the time of account opening), such revised instructions must reach DHFL at least 15 working days before the maturity date or else it would get processed as per Original instructions. Additional Interest of 0.15% on all Renewals, where the deposit is renewed on or before the maturity date.

When the date of maturity falls on any day on which the company's office / banks remains closed the repayment will be made on the next working day

  • What is the minimum deposit amount required for opening Fixed deposit account?

    The minimum amount required for opening a fixed deposit account is Rs-5,000. Additional Deposit over the minimum amount to be in multiple of Rs-1,000. Minimum Deposit Amount for WEALTH2HEALTH Deposit is Rs-25,000.

  • What is the minimum tenure for which I can place a Wealth2Health Fixed Deposit?

    The minimum tenure for a Wealth2Health Fixed Deposit is 12 months.

  • Do senior citizens get any extra benefit on the FD?

    Yes, senior citizens will get an additional interest rate of 0.40 %.*

  • Do women get any extra benefit on the FD?

    Yes, women investors are offered a special tenure of 18 months.

  • Can I obtain a loan from DHFL on the security of my FD?

    Yes, Loan against Fixed deposit is available up to 75% of the FD Amount. 

  • Does an investor required to submit PAN No. to invest in Fixed Deposit?

    For deposits of Rs. 50,000 or more, PAN No. of investor(s) is / are mandatory.
